You can look at how you have handled patterns in past relationships. How these relationships have influenced your functioning in the world now.
Short-Term Therapy
Many people require assistance in resolving difficulties they are experiencing in their lives, without necessarily seeking long-term therapy.
Sometimes an opportunity to talk something through with someone who is trained to listen attentively and objectively, without judging or offering direct advice, can provide a tremendous relief - as we are often able to speak more freely and openly in this situation. This enables us to express emotions.
You may be experiencing physical symptoms such as anxiety, panic attacks or addictive behaviours such as excessive smoking, compulsive eating. Feeling stressed and have difficulties in achieving a life-work balance.
Are YOU feeling unhappy and not knowing how to cope?
These are common situations for which people often seek counselling or therapy.
What Benefits Can Be Expected?
YOU might find that you will be able think, feel, act more freely in your current life situation.
YOU can start to experience new ways of behaving in the world, maybe through relating to others.
YOU can view many aspects of your life in a different way, gaining better understanding and insight.
YOU can start to take more control of your situation to get your needs met.
YOU can find new ways of coping and communicating, enabling you to approach your life in a new and more positive way.
Long-Term Therapy
The therapeutic relationship can go beyond immediate issues. It can provide an informed and experiences ally with whose support and insight you may safely explore your own private world, using your memories, dreams and images to discover what is meaninful and of value to you as an individual. This can become a gateway to a richer and more fulfilling experience of life.
Your dreams are 'the royal road to your unconscious mind'. You can bring your dreams to the therapy sessions and work with them through art, drama and Gestalt creativity. This will give you an opportunity for a deeper and more meaningful contact with yourself.
